Training That Stands the Test of Time.

The Chromium Guard Training Program covers what a PSISA licence does not. Every officer is trained on the property they protect, the people they serve, and the situations only a luxury residential or commercial environment generates.

Modules

What the Program Covers

Property-Specific Orientation
Access systems, fire panel, resident protocols, communication chain. Completed before the first solo shift on any new site.
De-Escalation
Verbal first. Body language always. Force only as a last resort. The Chromium standard for handling charged conversations without escalating them.
Confidentiality
What stays at the desk, what reaches management, what is never spoken about outside the building. Trained explicitly — not assumed.
Conflict-Resolution
Between residents. Between residents and contractors. Between contractors and each other. The procedures that close the loop without involving the board unnecessarily.
Hospitality Standards
Greeting cadence, name recall, package handling, amenity coordination. The polish that makes a Chromium front desk feel like a five-star hotel.
Reporting & Documentation
Board-ready format. Severity weighting. Incident chain. Written to withstand legal scrutiny when an incident review demands it.
Emergency Protocols
Fire, medical, police, evacuation, lockdown. The first three minutes of any emergency are trained until they are automatic.
Building-Code Awareness
Ontario Fire Code fundamentals, condominium-act basics, accessibility standards. Officers know what a building owes its residents — and what it owes its inspectors.

What's required to become a security guard in Ontario?
A valid Ontario Security Guard Licence under PSISA — which requires a Ministry-approved 40-hour training program and a licensing exam. Chromium Guard also strongly prefers First Aid and CPR certification, professional presentation, and experience in luxury residential or commercial environments.
